Room to Breathe started with something simple: a love for organization and a heart for helping people. What began over 20 years ago in Calgary as one woman’s small organizing service has since grown into a trusted name across the region, with a focus on bringing calm, clarity, and connection into homes.
Over the last 20 years, Room to Breathe has seen much change come from much growth. As our services expanded and new chapters unfolded, we've been guided by a steady purpose: to support people with both heart and hands. With each season of change, our mission has remained rooted in compassion and connection. Now, we’re stepping into a new chapter of that journey. We’re thrilled to introduce Amanda as the new owner of Room to Breathe—a long-time team member whose story has come full circle in the most beautiful way.
Amanda brings a deep love of people, a gift for creating peaceful spaces, and a personal connection to the RTB mission that makes her uniquely suited to lead this next phase of growth. With Amanda at the helm, we’re more committed than ever to helping you find your version of calm, clarity, and breathing room.

Meet Amanda: The New Owner of Room to Breathe
"Hi, I’m Amanda! I’m a born-and-raised Calgarian, mom of two, and a big believer in the magic of a well-organized space. I first connected with Room to Breathe years ago after a career shift-- following a long chapter working as a legal assistant, I found myself at a career crossroads. I’d always been the go-to organizer among family and friends and, when my cousin nudged me toward professional organizing, I discovered Room to Breathe. Something clicked. I sent an email (just like Indianna had years earlier!) and soon after, I was the Calgary Team Lead.
For nearly three years, I had the joy of working with RTB clients to create thoughtful, functional systems. When I stepped away for a time to care for my growing family, I missed the work more than I expected. In a beautiful, full-circle moment, Indianna reached out just as I was ready to return—and that’s when the opportunity to purchase Room to Breathe came to life. My husband Bruce and I knew this was the right step for our family, and I’m honoured to lead this next chapter.

These days, life is a lovely mix of daycare drop-offs, snack-packing, and running RTB. There is joy in the everyday, and I’m so grateful to do work that brings purpose to both my home and others'. Outside of organizing, you’ll find me volunteering with the Calgary Stampede Parade Prelude Committee or spending time at our family cabin in British Columbia, where our roots run deep.
At Room to Breathe, connection is at the core of everything we do. We take time to understand your needs so we can serve you well—whether that’s building systems that make your home easier to manage or helping you finally reclaim a space that’s been weighing on you.
If you’re feeling stuck or overwhelmed by your space, I want you to know: there’s always a way forward. We’re here to walk alongside you and help you create the space (and breathing room) you need to move forward.
Let’s find your version of calm, together."
